~A THE SUPERIOR EXPRESS Thursday, January 18, 1973 Club Has Dinner For Members And Families Friday The Valley View Club met last Friday at the Valley View schoolhouse for the annual covered dish dinner for members and their families. Thirty were present. Mrs. Tom McKeown and Mrs. Keith McKeown were hostesses. Mrs. Myron Intermill, club president, presided at the business meeting. The next meeting will be Monday, Jan. 29, with Mrs. Wayne Tipton. Robert Terrill • Shower Honoree Robert Curtis Terrill was honored at a shower Wednesday evening at the Town and Country cafe in Burr Oak. Several appropriate games were played and Mrs. Curtis Terrill, assisted by Colleen, opened his many gifts. Those present were Glenn- dean Terrill and Colleen, Sue Tucker and Carolyn, Faye Decker, Maxine Walker, Beth Homemakers Install Officers Mrs. James Purcell was hostess to the Webber ' Homemakers Extension Home Unit Tuesday afternoon. Eleven members answered roll call with "Your New Year's Resolut ion." An installation ceremony was held for the new officers. Mrs. Frank Herrmann, president; Mrs. Jim Purcell, vice- president ; Mrs. Clarence Behrends, secretary-treasurer; and Mrs. Harry Webber, public relations chairman, were in- stalled and assumed their of- ficial duties. Safety was the theme of the program for the unit. Safety literature was given to the members on fire proofing and common household drugs and poisons and antidotes. Helping at Mid-Nebraska Vocational Center again this year is the community project. The next meeting will be with Mrs. Behrends.
