Shirley Crane visited her parents, the Delbert Roth- childs, Friday afternoon. Sunday afternoon visitors were Shirley Crane, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Rothchild, Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Rothchild and Shea and Mr. and Mrs. Shannon Roth- child. Mr. and Mrs. John Matthews, Laura, Lanae and Amanda, Jason Davis and Neva Sisson were Sunday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Rothchild to celebrate Mrs. Sisson's 91st birthday. Charlie Smies visited Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Blair Monday evening. The Blairs visited Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rehoul and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Cooper and family, Clay Center, Ken., Saturday. Sunday they visited Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Kort, Blue Hill. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Marr were Mr. and Mrs. Craig Patterson, Heather and Timmy, Garden City, and Mrs. Monty Prescott, Manhattan, who came Friday evening. Monty Prescott, Andy and Kristyn, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Mart and Amanda, Metamora, Ill., and Mrs. John Keyser, Yate City, 111., came Saturday afternoon. They and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Marr were present for the baptism of Amanda Marr Sunday morning at the Webber church and for dinner at the Dwight Marr Wednesday dinner guest of Freda Langer. DeVee Smalley visited Mrs. McKeown Wed- nesday afternoon. Mrs. McKeown prepared Sunday dinner at the Keith McKeown home. Present were Keith and Dan McKeownMr. and Mrs. Kris Hoard, M'cPherson, and Lynette Bartley. Ivan Warren was admitted to the Republic County Hospital Thursday afternoon and transferred to the St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, Friday af- ternoon for tests. Margaret Warren is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Craig Warren and Mr. and Mrs. Monty Warren and Cody while in Wichita. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Shill, Longview, Wash., came Saturday morning to visit Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Shill the next two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Mettler were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Tatro, Jamestown, Sun- day for a family dinner to celebrate the birthdays of Leonard Tatro and Joe Gilbert. Lindel Barry and Judy I-Imel visited Mr. and Mrs. Clare Osborne, Formoso, Friday evening. Rose Ehlers underwent surgery Friday morning at the Mary Lanning Hospital, Hastings. Billie and Connie Manning visited her Friday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. John Berry and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Howe, St. Paul, Kim Bonner, Kris and Max, Hastings, Dalane Elders, Nathan and Alayna, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Burge, Jaletta Ehlers and Scott Nondorf visited her Sunday. Nathan and Alayna were Saturday and Sunday night guests of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Burgs. Mrs. Dallas Diamond had dinner Sunday with Dolly Jennings at the Nelson Good Samaritan Center. Carolyn and Andrea Simms and Pat Lange visited her in the afternoon. AI Jennings had supper with her Sunday. Hildreth Russel attended the funeral for Quincy Sills Friday in Formoso. Bonnie Poole and Rite Ordich visited Mrs. Russell Sunday after/Joan. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Porter and baby and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Russell visited her Sunday evening. Keith, a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Russell, and family have just returned from Ger- many where he has been stationed. Chester VanMeter, who was recovering from a broken hip, fell two weeks ago breaking his other hip. He had surgery last Thursday at St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, to set it. At last report he was still in the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Ross were Saturday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan VanMeter. Mr. and Mrs. VanMeter, Mr. and Mrs. Stan VanMeter and Blaine, Mr. and Mrs. Ed VanMeter and Wade, and Mr. and Mrs. Von Van- Meter went to Grand Island Sunday where they were joined by Neil Reasor, Travis and Tyger. They had supper together at a steak house where Denise Reasor works. The best way to save face is to keep the lower half shut.
