Sunday, 9 a.m., Sunday school; 10 a.m., worship ser- vice; 7 p.m., prayer meeting. A fare- well supper is planned May 31 for Jim and Wanda Dresser at 6 p.m. Sylvia Lautenschlager visited Pauline Hanson. Pauline stopped briefly at Dot Ferebee's home. Donna Gillan and Elaine Oltmans attended honors night at the Nelson high school. Basil and Ilene Johnson visited Phylli Schmitt, Phyllis accompanied Dixie and Junior Drohman to academic awards night at the Nelson school. Lee Rodehorst and Peggy Hays ac- companied Phyllis Schmitt to Prayer Connection held at the home of Pam Riley, Superior. Phyllis attended the Lollipop Lane Pre-school graduation in Hebron for her grandsons, Landon and Peyton Schmitt were among the graduates. Community Circle I met at the church May 7, beginning with a salad luncheon. After lunch, the business meeting and Bible Study followed. Two new members, Lee Rodehorst and Marilyn Schoof were welcomed. Oth- ers in attendance were Lola Biltoft, Carol Lowery, Gerry Peterson and Phyllis Schmitt and Donna Gillan. After the meeting, Gerry Peterson and Phyllis Schmitt went to the hoe of Don and Loin Biltoft. They were supper guests and played Mexican Dominoes. Pauline Hanson visited Ardelle Kassebaum, Hebron. Pauline and Zelda Schuster ate breakfast together at a Superior cafe and visited at the Schuster home. Dick Hanson brought pizza to the home of his mother that evening for supper. Donna Gillan and her great-grand- son, Andrew Shelburn, took chicken dinner to the Good Samaritan Center to share with Dorothy Adelman. Donna accompanied Terri Oltmans to Wilcox for the district track meet. Phyllis Schmitt accompanied Jim and Wanda Dresser to Hastings. Phyllis was an overnight guest in the home of Jerry and Kelly Schmitt and babysat with the children on Thursday. Friday alernoon, Wanda Dresser was a visi- tor in the Phyllis Schmitt home. Thursday visitors of Pastor Jim and Wanda Dresser were Bob and Janet Elwell and Gaylen and Jackie Cox, Terri Oltmans and Jessica Shelbum had lunch with their mother and grand- mother, Donna Gillan, on Friday. Barb and Gus Glaser, Pacific Junction, Iowa, came to the home of her mother, Donna Gillan, on Saturday. They attended the Lawrence-Nelson High School gradu- ation. Josh Oltmarls was one of the graduates, and his reception was held + at his grandmother Donna's home. He is the son of Jim and Terri Oltmans. Other relatives in attendance from a distance were Elmer, Jr. and Irene Anderson, Overton, Jerry and Carol Anderson, Deshler, Betty Struss, Juniata, Jason Roemmich, formerly of Texas now of York, Harvey and Dixie Goings, and Lee and Jackie Miller, all of Kenesaw. Barb and Gus were Sun- day lunch guests of Donna before re- turning home. Gerry Peterson attended the Ernest Schroer funeral at St. Stephen' s Catho- lic Church Friday. On Saturday, Sondra Peterson, Lincoln, Neb., came to the home of her mother. They, along with other family members, attended the Lawrence-Nelson High School gradu- ation Saturday. They attended the re- ception for their grandson and nephe w, I I I I I I Kirk Peterson, at the home of his par- ents, Lorrell and Maggie Peterson, fol- lowing graduation. Sondra returned home Monday morning. Visitors in the Vern and Veda Snyder home have been Barb Will- iams and Nathan Michels and Gerry and Sondra Peterson, Nick Biltoft and daughter, Becky, Riverton, Wyo., and Nicole Biltoft, Sioux Falls, S.D., were Friday,pight guests of Don and Loin Biltoft. They came to attend the graduation of their nephew and cousin, Corbin Biltofl, son of Roger and Cathy Biltoft. Don and Lola attended the graduation cer- emonies at Nelson, and his reception following. They also attended the re- ceptions for Josh Oltmans, Lesley Reed, Kirk Peterson, Jessie Bohlen and Connie Menke. Gaylen and Jackie Cox attended the Lawrence-Nelson High School gradu- ation and the reception honoring Kevin Schultz. On Sunday, they attended the Thayer Central High School gradua- tion at Hebron and the reception for a niece, Michelle Burda. Rose Marie Chapman, Red Feath- ers, Colo., visited her mother, Dorothy Hutchinson• Joining them for supper were Bruce Chapman and Paul and Linda Hutchinson, Superior. The Chapmans left for their home in Colo- rado Sunday morning after visiting with relatives in Nelson. Phyllis Schmitt attended the Lawrence-Nelson High School gradu- ation and the reception honoring Terrance Jensen, son of Terry and Deb .Iensen. The reception was held at the home of his grandparents, 3ohn and Cloma Corman, Oak. Tom Jensen served as host. Phyllis later attended the reception honoring Krista Schoof held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Ruskin, following the Deshler High School graduation. Roger and Kim Valliquette and daughter, Aspen, and Jody Man'; all of Guymon, Okla., were Saturday visi- tors in the Chet and Fern Mart home. Sunday and Monday guests of the Marrs were Kirby and Leann Marr, Julie and Melissa, also of Guymon. After church Sunday, Pauline Hanson went to Superior where she joined the following to go to Guide Rock for a Mother's Day buffet: Dick and Claudia Hanson, Joby, Christin and Jaden Hanson, Doug and Peg Grabast, Angela Garver, Les and Darlene Hale and Willie and Helen Miller. They returned to the Dick Hanson home for visiting. Don and Lola Biltoft attended the first communion of Kelsey Biltoft at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nel- son on Sunday and the dinner in Lawrence. Phyllis Schmitt was a Mother's Day dinner guest of Junior, Dixie, Dustin and Derrick Drohman at a Deshler cafe. In the afternoon she accompa- nied Jerry and Kelly Schmitt, Jordan, Hannah, Landon and Peyton to Beatrice. Phyllis remained as an over- night guest in the Jerry Schmitt home. Pastor Jim and WandaDresser were Sunday dinner guests of Jim and Lee Rodehorst, Nelson. Monday, the Vil- lage Missions Fellowship was held at the church in Oak as a farewell for the Dressers. They will be moving to Mon- tana at the end of the month. Those in attendance were Pastor Bob and Janet Elwell, Formoso, and Pastor Chip and Laura Farnsworth, Munden, Karl. Some of the church people have been preparing lunch and snacks for III ii II I I the workers who are putting the new roof on the church. Crystal was in the confirmation class. Later all were dinner guests in the Dana Schleufer home. Mike and Karen Thayer went to Bruning Saturday to attend the gradu- ation of Lacey Follmer and the recep- tion in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs, Dennis Follmer, Davenport. The Mike Thayers, Mark and Stephanie Thayer, Wyatt and Mac went to He- bron for graduation and reception hon- oring Dan Williams Sunday. Kevin and Carol WulL Jon and Katrina, attended a reception honoring Katie Bargen held at the Salem Luth- eran Church Fellowship Hall Saturday forenoon. In the afternoon the Kevin Wulfs attended the graduation at Deshler for Seth Petersen and the re- ception later at the Ruskin Community Center. After church Sunday they ate at a Hastings cafe. Marvin and VirginiaLewis attended graduation and reception Saturday af- ternoon honoring Sarah Williams. Sun- day afternoon they attended a surprise open house held at the home of Brian and Kim Judy for Dorcas Judy. She has received her masters degree in nurs- ing. A correction from last week. Mar- lin and Lisa Meyer and Cody took Alfred and Mary Ann Meyer, Julie Meyer and Loretta Feistner out for dinner May 5. Don and Helen Gebers attended the district track meet at Wilcox that Jamie Gebers took part. Alvin and Edna Epley attended the receptions honoring Sarah Williams and Cody Meyer. Sunday afternoon callers were Ruth Epley, Dana Epley and children. In the evening Alvin an d Edna were supper guests of Judy and Lee Vieselmeyer, Davenport. The Bridge Club met at the home of Melba Lynch. Melba attended the Nora Club dinner meeting at Edgar. Thursday Meiba and Pat Jones were in Hastings. Mothers Day Melba, Jerry Lynch, Jim and Rhonda Lynch and Jessie and Dean and Pat Jones had dinner together in Guide Rock. Harold Meyer, Kansas City, was a Friday overnight and Saturday guest of Don and Helen Gebers. Saturday afternoon Don and Helen attended graduation in Nelson and the recep- tions honoring Sarah Williams and Cody Meyer. Supper guests of Don and Helen Gebers were Tom and Kim Gebers, Seth, Brette and Reese of Geneva, Dave and Sherry Gebers, Stacia and Haley, Steven and Diane Gebers and Jamie, Otto and Wilma Moeller, Adella Gebers and Hattie Wulf. Many attended the graduation at Nelson Saturday and the reception honoring Sarah Williams in the home of her parents, Roger and Sue. Highland By IvaLee Jacobitz The Highland Club met with Muriel Follmer last Tuesday for their Mother' s Day meeting. Twelve members and guests were present. Roll call was char- acteristic admired in your mother. Af- ter a short business meeting, LaVeta Porter and Bernita Ostdiek were in charge of devotions and the program which consisted of readings and a taffy pull. Finger food was the refreshment of the day. Ivalee Jacobitz won the door prize and each member and guest received a plant. There will be no more regular meetings until September.
