4B THE SUPERIOR EXPRESS Thursday, July 28, 1983 Nora Local News By Mrs. Warren Stiles Many from here attended the Nora rodeo Saturday and Sunday evenings, so not much news this time. Angle Drudik visited her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lanham, Monday through Thursday. Mary Ann Meyer, Pat Frahm and Lillian Christensen at- tended the 4-H music contest at L~wrence Monday evening of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schlamann were among the many who attended the Brett- man reunion at Dashler Saturday evening. Sunday evening the Schlsmanns were among guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Jemen and family, Hardy. Their son, Darrin Jensen, was celebrating his birthday. On Monday evening of last week Mrs. Bill Lynch and Diane Collins took Lorraine Nielsen ~'~, out for supper in Suverior for ;[Mrs. Nielsen's belated birth- day. I ] I Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Thayer visited Mary Thayer in the Superior hospital Friday and Saturday. Mrs. Irvin Schleufer and family attended a picnic Sunday evening at the lake to celebrate the birthdays of Nick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Drake, Lincoln, and Dorothy Ray, Grand Island. It was Nick's first birthday. Edd Epley took Ethan Epley and Danny Schleufer to Republican City on Monday of last week where they attended a 4-H camp. Edd returned but Ethan and Danny stayed Monday, Tuesday, and Wed- nesday. Mr. and Mrs. Berness Miller were Sunday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Max Lanham and all attended the rodeo in the evening. Mr. and Mrs~ Bill Kottmeyer visited Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Schriever, Superior, Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hefts, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Hefts and Bernice Fintel were Sunday dinner guests at Deshler of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis H0fts, Goddard, Kan. All were af- ternoon and lunch guests of Bernice Fintel, Byron. Sunday afternoon visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Anderson were Curtis Carver, Richard and Cindy of near Angus. Sally Frahm and Amy, Jim Bade and Tammy Frahm, Lincoln, came Friday night for the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Dale Frahm. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Meyer joined them for dinner Sunday. Amy remained for the week.
