8A THE SUPERIOR EXPRESS Thursday, November ,, fails; draw, Even though the Lawrence Panthers grained 82 more yards, they battled to a scoreless tie with Shickley last week. Both teams played outstanding defense. With a chance for victory, the Panthers tried a 26-yard field goal in the final 30 seconds of the game but it went wide to the left. e Brian Brockman, in 17 at- tempts, gained 98 yards and Ben Faimon, in 19 attempts, gained 68 yai'ds to lead the Lawrence offense. Defensively, the leading tacklers were Faimon with 16, Thurin with 15, Lemke with 15 and Ostdiek with 12. This week Lawrence will host Davenport.
