Raised in Haskeil, he received his education there. He worked as a farm hand for several area farmers. He en- tered the Army on March 24, 1964 serving until May 21, 1964. He re- turned to Haskell and continued work- ing as a farm hand. He moved to Supe- rior in 1991 and was a resident of the Nebraska Veterans Home since Janu- ary, 2003.
